Undergraduate: Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute

Medical School: University of Minnesota

Residency: University of Minnesota (Med/Peds)

Originally from upstate NY, after undergraduate studies in mechanical and aeronautical engineering I spent 9 years in Cincinnati working at GE Aviation as an engineer in aerodynamic design. While in Ohio I picked up a masters, developed hobbies in distance running, brewing, the culinary arts, and got married. I then decided to pursue a medical career and moved to MN for med school and stayed for med/peds residency, where my wife and I had three kids. Here in Cincy my wife is starting as a child and adolescent psychiatrist, and we have a lovely house to share with our kids and three cats.

Moving back to Cincinnati was a delight as it merged my desire to train in a clinically heavy fellowship, with outstanding research, and in a city with which me and my wife were familiar. We still love food and beer, and although I've (mostly) stopped building replicas of medieval siege artillery in my back yard, I still love tinkering in projects in my basement including working with my own 3D printer. Moving forward, I hope to make medical devices a significant part of my career.
