Alex joined the UC program after spending his medical school and residency training in Detroit, Michigan. His primary interest is in medical education with a goal of future residency or fellowship program directorship. His clinical interests include critical care, advanced bronchoscopy, shock, and pulmonary vascular disease.

In his spare time he enjoys exploring the craft breweries of Cincinnati, playing video and board games, tending his vegetable garden, playing anything with a string, trying (but failing) to get his cat Zigzag to lose weight, trying (but failing) to play Cat Toss with his other cat Abby, and trying (but failing) to get his dog Behr to display any semblance of chill. All of the above activities are now enjoyed with his wife Melanie, who is trying (but failing) to get him to close a single door.
